Frances grew up on farms in Williamson County, Texas, for the most part. She married Chester in 1941 during his service in the U. S. Army. At retirement, they settled in the nearby city of Georgetown, Texas. They were married for 62 years until Chester passed away on April 7, 2003. Frances resided in Oklahoma near her daughter since the year of 2009.

As a woman of multiple talents, she enjoyed reading, studying the Bible, cooking, gardening and sewing. She worked as a homemaker and as a very active member of the Church of Christ for years.
